The Coolest Tweed Style for Winter Grooms

Look smart and feel cosy!

There's something supremely sophisticated about a tweed suit, so we're delighted to see lots of grooms going for this look lately, possibly inspired by the covetable costumes in Netflix drama The Crown! Based on the practical, outdoorsy garments traditionally favoured by British aristocracy, the heritage look works particularly well for autumn and winter weddings, and if you're tying the knot on a country house estate, all the better! When it comes to tweed groomswear, the possibilities are endless - the effect can be edgy, dapper, relaxed, or eccentric, depending on how you style it! By way of inspiration, we've rounded up some of our favourite tweed looks, as worn by real grooms. Enjoy!

4. Grooms who favour tweed often plumb for dark colours, but real groom Brent turned the trend on its head with his soft beige three-piece suit. He used a dark bow tie and pocket square to differentiate his look from that of his groomsmen, which is a handy tip for grooms who fancy an element of uniformity!

5. Real groom Jonny ensured that his groomswear look fitted perfectly with his rugged coastal ceremony setting at Mussenden Temple, located on the cliffs of Co. Derry. He was well protected against the elements of the North Atlantic ocean in his tweed three-piece, and we love the hints of  autumnal red, finished off with a dried flower buttonhole.
