Comeback Queens: Corsages For The Bridesmaids

A brilliant and very pretty way to save big on your wedding day...

So I'm guessing the last time you heard (or in this case, read) the word Corsage was back at the end of school (secondary, high or whatever you attended!)  - corsages were all the rage back then for us girls graduating into the big bad world. And 10 (ok, 15) years later they've made a surprise appearance on the aisles of the super chic. Yes, corsages are enjoying a renaissance and are now a big hit for bridesmaids!

An idea that originates from the Victorian era, floral wristlets on ribbons and pearls (aka corsages), are a great way to incorporate your favourite flowers on the big day in a more unconventional way than a bouquet. For brides on a tighter budget, the wrist options can be a little easier on the pocket than a conventional bouquet. Not only will you save major mula with pretty bridesmaid's corsages, but your bridesmaids will be able to be hands-free! (AKA, more hands free to carry your train or pop the prosecco!)

Corsages are also perfect to give to the mother of the bride or groom to incorporate into the wedding party or, for flowergirls to keep those little hands free! Plus, corsages can be a great option for two brides, if one does not want a bouquet but still wants to incorporate flowers into her bridal look.

Forget the perfectly in-tact corsage you wore at the prom/debutant ball, and instead, opt for a more organic look with garden blooms and whispy greenery. Top it off with a delicate silk ribbon in your wedding colour palette.
