After a delay in tying the knot, a lot was put into perspective for our real wedding couple, Hannah and Adam. The priority list was quickly reorganised to encompass things that were a lot more important and personal - family and friends in good health with huge smiles. This beautiful wedding consisted of 80 of the couple's nearest and dearest, and took place in the exquisite Woodhall Manor in Suffolk, with the sun beaming down for a gorgeous garden wedding! Beth Beresford provided us with this divine imagery, so let's not wait a second more to start scrolling!
When it came to the proposal, Hannah still finds herself smiling to this day. After saving for their first home, they decided that their next adventure was a holiday somewhere special, and they chose gorgeous Mexico! "I'd never been on a plane before, and it was our first holiday abroad together, so it was already incredible. We used to walk to dinner via the beach most evenings, but one night we were walking as usual and as we looked out to sea, Adam dropped to one knee and proposed! I looked round to a lovely Mexican photographer who had captured the special moment which I am so grateful for. When we first met, we were teenagers with not a penny to our name, so the fact we were able to go away, and then to have such a special engagement on top of that was truly perfection!" says Hannah.
Hannah looked like a real-life princess in her dazzling ballgown, shimmering from head to toe and finished with an elegantly embellished hairband. Her bridal details included a traditional laced garter, a memorial bracelet with a picture of someone special and beautiful pearl-detailed bridal shoes. Her mother also gave her a special piece of jewellery, which she still treasures today.
The handsome groom wore a three-piece suit, paired with a plaid grey waistcoat. To tie the groomswear together, Adam chose a pastel pink tie and pocket square to complement the fresh and subtle colour palette and bridesmaids in blush.
Hannah decided on quite a meaningful and heartfelt processional song, to walk down the aisle alongside her father. "I wanted to walk down the aisle to Somewhere Over The Rainbow as the previous year had been so challenging for everyone, it truly felt suitable for the celebration. After the ceremony, the newlyweds walked back down the aisle husband and wife to Send Me On My Way by Rusted Roots - a fun and joyful song and the perfect track to begin married life!
The couple postponed their wedding celebrations from 2020 and wanted to ensure the day was fully focused on celebrating the end of such a challenging time. "We wanted to make the whole day about being together with family and friends as well as being able to marry the love of our lives!" says Hannah. They chose a simple white and blush pink aesthetic throughout their day, from florals, and bridesmaids and the groomswear style, to stationery and personal touches.
As they were pronounced husband and wife a shower of confetti surrounded them! Hannah's wedding dream was to always be married outside on the grounds of Woodhall Manor's Dovecote due to its romantic setting and naturally exquisite grounds - and guess what, her garden wedding dream came true! "Woodhall Manor is an absolutely stunning house set in the countryside. It really lent itself to the romantic theme that we wanted.
We had to ask them for some wedding planning advice: "Relax, it will all work out! The detail is a nice touch, but everyone who attends simply wants to see you happy. I really think that the one thing I learnt from postponing the wedding, was that last year I was so worried about the little details, whereas this year I just wanted it to happen and be able to see my family's faces without masks as I walk down the aisle. It just massively puts everything into perspective" they say.
Their guests were treated to tasty nibbles at the sweet station and beautiful sustainable wedding favours on their tables. "We both like the simplistic, natural, but romantic look, so chose white and pink flowers, including a wisteria tree arch in the main ballroom and a blossom tree arch for the ceremony. The rooms were decorated with hints of memories through pictures of places we had explored together," says Hannah.
Their honeymoon quickly followed four days after their gorgeous garden wedding and the celebrations continued in the beautiful country of Antigua! "I would 100% recommend it for a honeymoon. So romantic with lots of amazing boutiques. We stayed in an all-inclusive resort at the CoCoBay. We did this incredible tour which we would definitely recommend along with lots of snorkelling."
