An intimate gathering for you & your girls complete with sweet treats & bubbly - the perfect pre-wedding party!

Today's inspirational photo shoot is not only uber cool, but ultra feminine too. Led by the talented Evelyn Eslava and styled by Rosie Jarman, the pair used a palette of white hues and a combination of gold, bronze and light blues to create a bridesmaid look that is soft and ethereal without being too girly (barely a touch of pink in sight!) There are elements in this be my bridesmaid shoot you will just love from the pretty Marie Antoinette table setting with a modern twist to the floral crowns and lace embroidered dresses. Take a peek I'm sure you'll find something to incorporate into your bridal shower style hen party or even your own wedding day...

While there are clear colours coming through in today's shoot, white is the overall colour palette. Creating a simple white wedding  palette can seem a little daunting, with questions such as 'How much colour do you add?, 'Will it seem too plain?', or 'Can I incorporate other elements and keep it minimal?' crossing your mind. Today's 'Be my Bridesmaid' shoot is a terrific example of minimal white wedding decor with a twist and shows you ways to answer those very questions. So let's take a look...

First up, white can be worn by your bridesmaids, as you can see here with this boho chic embroidered gown. The royal wedding of the century saw Pippa Middleton in a white satin gown and a trend was born. While brides can still be nervous about making this statement witht heir bridesmaids, adding accessories like floral crowns, coloured shoes and a strong lipstick colour will help differentiate between bride and bridesmaid.

How gorgeous is this bridal headpiece? Part headband, part birdcage and with flowers too - very cute don't you think?

If you're trying to go for a more casual bridesmaid look or want to have your bridesmaid in white but aren't sure how to keep your bridal look standing out, you can add cardigans or mohair jumpers to their look. It is a sweet way to keep them warm without being too traditional and it will help you stand out more on the day if you haven't spotted it already, check out our Winter Warmers for Bridesmaids post for ideas and lets face it, your most likely going to need a cardigan in Ireland, even in the height of Summer!

Of course when it comes to the decor, white can easily be incorporated through balloons and how pretty are these ones with polka dot details and white ribbon!

If you'd like a white table setting but don't want it to be a white washout, take tips from today's table setting. Keeping it minimal with white cake stands and vases, they added turquoise hues and gold details. You can easily achieve a similiar look by adding soft hues or pastels with a one strong colour like gold or silver to give a little sparkle. For the flowers, stick with white, with added foliage and a flower like the anemone that is mainly white but has a colour incorporated.

One element I absolutely love from today's table setting is the sundae glasses and gold cutlery. They add that modern, fun and feminine twist to the table and they could work serving dessert (and not just and ice cream sundae!) for any wedding day.

When it comes to choosing the wedding cake for a minimal wedding table setting, a white butter cream cake works really well and it gives you room to add a bit of personality with flowers or a simply cake topper. With the wedding cake from today's shoot, they chose to incorporate the girl's floral and foliage crowns with the anemone flower - And it looks fabulous...

I love the mix of fish tail braids, plaits and loose hairstyles. If you're having more than one bridesmaid, let their individual personalities shine through in their makeup and hair, it adds lots more character to the day and your gals will be more comfortable too.
