We Are the Mastersons are Brian & Trish, a husband and wife team who love to take photographs at weddings.
The We Are The Mastersons “philosophy” is simple - they don’t believe that photography is the most important thing on your wedding day and they don’t believe it should be. Spending time with the people you love – your friends, your family, the person you’ve just married - or taking a quiet moment to yourself away from the craziness to breathe and take it all in; these are the things that We Are The Mastersons believe you should focus on.
The pair say photography is definitely their most important task but luckily, they’ve always found that if you’re having a great time, they’ll get great photographs.
We Are the Mastersons tell couples, "To be honest, great photographs aren’t even our main goal. For us, the photos are just a means to an end. Our aims are far grander than that! We’re looking to build you a Time Machine. We’re looking to find a way so that 40 years from now you have a doorway that you can open that brings you right back to your wedding day. Not just to how it looked, but how it felt: The flood of sunshine as you flung open your curtains that morning. The touch of a warm hand on a winter afternoon. The sound of laughter outside the pub that evening. Our gifts to you aren’t photos – they’re reminders."
If every wedding is a collection of a thousand different stories, We Are the Mastersons photographs are the opening scene of each of them. Taken together, they form part of a longer story that you carry with you throughout your life. "That’s our philosophy. That’s how we work."
