If you think of a fairytale wedding in Ireland, Callie and Brian's big day had it all. US beauty Callie hails from Georgia while Brian is from Kerry but the stars would align as a fateful college trip would land him in the States and he never went home! Fast-forward seven years later when Brian was living in South Georgia he was set up on a date with Callie and it was “love at first sight” for him. After a beautiful proposal over Christmas 2021, which caught Callie completely by surprise, she set about creating their dream Irish wedding day from their home in Seattle, Washington, collaborating with her Irish-based wedding planner. Waterford Castle in Co. Waterford stood out above the rest for the couple, Callie adored the history of the 16th-century venue and the private island setting, it would be their own world of luxury and natural beauty to celebrate their special day with their loved ones. Anyone who is planning a destination wedding knows that it is no easy feat and after all of Callie's Zooming, emailing and vision boarding, their big day was beyond their wildest dreams.
Their wedding film which was captured exquisitely by Limelight Wedding Films is full of moving moments. They tied the knot in a wonderfully picturesque garden ceremony where the aisle was lined with blue and white blooms and they helped create a dazzling floral backdrop as they exchanged vows. Callie was breathtaking in a sequin and lace off-the-shoulder gown which had an incredible detachable skirt from none other than Bridals By Lori (the iconic boutique that fans of Say Yes to the Dress will certainly know). The groom and his groomsmen looked so suave in grey suits and the bridesmaids were sensational in moody sage green satin mix and match bridesmaid dresses. Before the reception their guests tucked into delightful canapes and their was a flower-dappled champagne wall with the glasses of bubbles holding personalised name tags for each guest. They even had welcome boxes for all their nearest and dearest which included delectable, locally-created macarons. They celebrated with a romantic candlelit reception and the party kicked off with an Irish dancing performance. Their uber-chic white wedding cake by Synnotts Signature Bakes was given a beautiful botanical twist. Later, The Mixtape ensured the dancefloor was busy all night and even the glow sticks were out!
