1. Queen of Tarts

Right in the heart of the city centre lays the shabby chic Queen of Tarts. The delightful brunch on Saturdays and Sundays offers breakfast classics like the Omelette of the Day or French Toast made with their own brioche bread, to delicious sandwiches like the smoked paprika marinated chicken breast, served with rainbow coleslaw on toasted focaccia bread. But, as the name suggests, the big draw is the assortment of divine tarts and pastries that are a must for any visitor.

2. The Alex

The Secret Garden at the Alex Hotel is a beautiful outdoor terrace that's superb for weekend brunch, served from 12-3pm. With a gorgeous floral-inspired design, this spot is a hidden gem in the heart of the city, with a retractable roof to enjoy sky views and heaters for chillier days. The delectable menu has both healthy and indulgent options on offer, including protein pancakes with strawberries and peanut butter, a delicious roasted cauliflower vegan salad, or how about a buttered poached lobster roll or nduja turkish eggs? Whatever you choose we recommend pairing it with a Bloody Mary from the cocktail list, and finishing with the cookie baked in a skillet for dessert!

3. Noshington

A contemporary spot on Dublin's South Circular Road, Noshington offers a comforting brunch menu that includes elaborate oatmeal bowls, sugar-free granola, nutty rice bowls, pulled pork tacos, and elaborate dishes like Stout Braised Beef Brisket Benedict and Chilli Beef Skillet.

Fans of all things cute and quaint (and covered in confectioner's sugar!) will love this pretty tea room in Powerscourt Centre, which specialises in sweet and savoury classics like Creamy Scrambled Eggs, Homemade Granola and Croque Monsieur. Plus, we're slightly obsessed with the Herby Focaccia Sandwich with sweet roasted veg, pumpkin seed pesto and house vegan mayo. Don't miss the Victoria Sponge - Mary Berry would approve!

15. Sophie's at the Dean

At the top of one of Dublin's most stylish hotels, you'll find Sophie's, a hopping bar and restaurant with a killer view of the city, and a pretty faultless brunch offering. 16. Alma

An indulgent brunch with Argentinian flair? We're in. Alma means 'soul' in Spanish and we couldn't think of a better name for this spot. For a flavour punch try the Argentinian style sausage on organic sourdough with alioli, chimichurri, salsa criolla, caramelized onions, free range fried egg and sriracha. But our sweet dish of choice is the delectable Buttermilk Pancakes with Dulce de Leche, brandy and orange mascarpone!

17. Thundercut Alley

Vintage arcade games and eccentric interiors set this Smithfield favourite apart from other brunch spots, as do its tasty and creative flatbreads. Thundercut Alley offers bottomless mimosas, so it's perfect for a boozy weekend treat.

18. Wigwam

It doesn't get more indulgent than a bottomless brunch at a Brazilian kitchen, right? This Abbey Street night spot gets the party started early on weekends with brunch classics and some cool additions like Escondidinho (shredded brisket and cassava) or Vegan Nachos. With four locations across Dublin, the Gourmet Food Parlour is a must for brunch lovers. Best Weekday Brunch Spots in Dublin

23. Brother Hubbard North and South

These two beloved cafés on the north and south side of the city serve eye-opening brunch dishes with a Middle Eastern twist, including The Vegan Mezze Tray (Beetroot Falafel with Green Tahini & pomegranate, hummus, Middle Eastern Tahini slaw flatbread and more) and Moroccan Eggs Zaalouk. There are always vegetables and fresh salsas involved, so it's a healthier option than classic brunch joints, although there are some great dessert options too.

24. Wuff

27. Tang

If you are looking for something right in the city centre, look no further than Tang. The tiny but mighty cafe packs quite the punch. Enjoy a healthy start to your day with Buckwheat and banana pancakes served with Greek yogurt, berries, toasted pecan nuts, honey and house nut butter or indulge in the special Cilbir Eggs with Roast Squash. The take on mushrooms on toast here is epic too, marinated in tamari and fresh ginger, you'll be dreaming of these long afterwards.

28. The Fumbally

Although famous as a brunch spot, The Fumbally technically serves an all-day breakfast, but the Fumbally Eggs (scrambled with olive oil, Gubbeen cheese, garlic and tomatoes on toasted brioche) and Tuscan beans are so good that we couldn't resist including them on this list.

29. Cloud Café

Again, this is technically an all-day breakfast, rather than brunch, but the Cloud Café offering is too delicious to pass over. Boasting low-key classics done exceptionally well, the menu includes Bacon and Egg Butty with Red Onion Jam and Smoky Homemade Cannellini Beans on Toasted Sourdough.

30. Legit Coffee Co.

This exceptionally stylish neighbourhood café has a few on-trend dishes on its brunch menu, including a rather tasty Acai Bowl, but there's also a lot of refined, hearty fare, namely the Breakfast Bap, Pulled Pork & Slaw Sandwich and divine Sauteed Mushroom & Onion Stuffing Roll. Don't leave without trying one of the fresh-baked pastries (or energy balls if you're on the straight and narrow.)
